One thing, maybe the most important thing that I have struggled with in my journey as an artist so far has definitely been discipline. I see so many wonderful artists on this site and I know the only definitive thing that separates us is that one quality. They are constantly making time to do their work and putting aside the million distractions in order to do so. I was speaking with a friend the other day and he said "It takes about 10,000 hours to master anything"... That rung true in my mind. I have been wasting too much time and not focusing the hours necessary in order to take my art and my craft to the next level. I am now making more time, creating a schedule and fitting in this wonderful ability that I am blessed with in order to reach the level of professional ability that I so long for.
